The little child steals the show and will rip your heart out with her portrayal of an almost human AI. Love the new story and great actors. Saw it on IMAX and thoroughly enjoyed the musical score by Hans Zimmer. Rogue One is one of if not my favorite story / film in Star Wars and bravo to Gareth Edwards and team.

I wanted to like this but the story was weak sauce and despite the cutting edge visuals it became boring as story became ridiculously dumb.

In an age of nothing but sequels, we found this movie entertaining. Lots of special effects, one liners and action. It highlights humanities unwillingness to live in peace with one and other, and with anything. It highlights humanities unwillingness to accept responsibility for its action. The roles of human are reversed here, humans are the villains and the terror, AI are the good guys.
  • A look inside the destruction of ourselves not AI

This movie shows a radical view which mirrors our exact point in history. A war between Human intelligence and our own hypocrisy. Without any spoilers you will have a more empathetic and pessimistic outlook on our future with what is at is very care referred to as machine learning. And what programming defines in all forms of life as we know it.
  • Waste of $20

This is the most ghastly awful movie I have seen in so long. Visual production is great. The story and the acting is freaking awful. You have no one to root for there’s no good. The story is so muddled it’s so fricking awful.
  • Different style of movie

Different style of movie, but exceptional story line and the acting was award winning. So very well done. We really enjoyed this movie and what a nice change from Hollywood, finally.
  • An AI survival film in the style of a southeast Asian crime thriller

If you imagine a southeast Asian crime thriller with AI instead of drug lords and a space-based extermination squad instead of corrupt police, you get this film. As with the best southeast Asian crime thrillers, there is a third category in the space between the crime and corruption that is trying to carve out survival, and that is the protagonist force of this movie - the AI that is trying to avoid extinction. The small moment to moment survival is the point of this, and the zoomed in action shines. The weakest part is the space station. It's alluded to be an international effort to eliminate AI, but it gets cast as some American maverick. Also it's supposed to be in space but sometimes appears in the clouds much closer to earth. This one object really broke the environment of the movie for me. But I can't give this less than 5 stars because it's infinitely better than most AI movies that just scratch the surface.
  • Unbelievable

Literally, unbelievable in the ridiculous situations & their resolutions, back to back to back to back. Visuals & cinematography are top notch, though everything else is severely lacking. Dumb writing, bad pacing, no pathos, & a “shock twist reveal” that falls on it’s face if you think about it for a couple second. This was so bad, I went out of my way to refund the purchase. Avoid!!!
  • Terrible.

Rush to seize the AI moment? Weak plot and unlikable protagonist. Made no sense.
  • Should have titled this Rogue Done

Ripoff of his previous rogue one movie. This is poor. In all aspects. Put a fork in him.
