A movie like this with no English Subtitles is just stupid. What were you thinking Apple.

  • 4 stars for the idea, acting, scenery but zero for logical aspects

watch it for the idea, thrills and the pace which goes 'sleepy, sleepy, skip heartbeat/jump in your seat, sleepy, sleepy' repeated. Also for the concept of silence, which IMHO, is lost in the current cacophony all of us live in. Lots of flaws in the logic, actions taken, etc. Does it take so long to determine that high pitch would affect the aliens? How were those 2 animals still alive for so many days? do the aliens kill just for it or for food or do they just don't want their peace & quiet to be disturbed? Cities have a lot of noise, then living in cities would probably be safer? Were all the militaries (asusminng global invasion and not only in the US, otherwise it would be even more weird), scientists, all wiped out at once? Why don't they push back the nail? Also the father shouts to protect the kids, but the alien is stil quite some distance away--can't the father move out in that period. Or use something else to make a loud sound since there were all those implements around? Several assumptions required, but it is still different and especially liked the concept of living in silence.
